Miss America

Skaar Bannerson, America Chavez, and Miles Morales were in their secret identities at Cross Keys Middle School when Groot and a mind-controlled Hulk dropped out of the sky and wreaked havoc on the school grounds.

Miss America was first on the scene, having snuck away from the lunch table to slip into her super hero duds behind the bleachers. Skaar was soon to follow. Recognizing Groot from her cosmic journeys, Miss America decided to help him by putting the Hulk in a chokehold. Unfortunately, Hulk, even a mind-controlled Hulk, is still the strongest there is, and was not affected.

Skaar seeing his father endangered by this strange looking tree thing, tried to break Groot’s hold on Hulk. Still fresh to the battle, Skaar was not powerful enough yet to break Groot’s hold. Groot struggled against the Hulk, cracking at the seams, and finally became a cloud of splinters when Hulk smashed through him with his accursed hammer.

Spider-Man

“Big time superhero, coming through!” In the nick of time, MILES MORALES the ultimate Spider-Man joined the fray. Still unsure about his father’s state, Skaar worked to remove Miss America from the battle and did her quite a bit of damage. Miles struck at the Hulk, swinging with a kick to the teeth. Hulk’s mighty hammer deflected the blow. Miss America cried out to these strangers, begging for them to coordinate their attacks, but Skaar was too busy trying to make sense of his father’s ailment.

“Father? What’s happened to you?”

“I am Nul, Breaker of Worlds!” Hulk swung his cursed hammer in whirlwind; Skaar, Spidey, and America caught in its path. While Miss America was able to fly out of the path of destruction, Spider-man was not so lucky. Even his spider-sense could not keep him from being knocked out by the hit.
