The Story SO FAR: What we know is America Chavez ‘ported
into Universe-4007 a few days ago and felt…something. A ripple, a tremor in the
fabric of reality. A warning, and it was coming from Earth. She landed in St
Louis, Mo (Earth-4007) still feeling the low hum of the disturbance. Putting
down stakes, she took a room at the YWCA and enrolled in the local middle
school to keep her ear to whatever was going on in the universe. Nothing gets
by Earth teenagers.
Meanwhile, Miles Eduardo Morales kept busy these past few
weeks, stopping gas station holdups and neighborhood taggers. His SHIELD
training is on hold until, well until he hears from Nick Fury. He reported to
the secret meeting location for his twice-a-week training routine, but no one
showed. Not Fury, May, Fitz, or any of the Avengers-in-Training. Come to think
of it, the Avengers are off-world and incommunicado. If not for his run-in with
Ms. Marvel over the weekend, he’d swear he was the only costumed hero in the
whole city.
And don’t forget Caiero “Skaar” Bannerson, son of the
rage-fueled Avenger and world renowned scientist Dr. Bruce Banner. His
adjustment to civilized life is steady, but he prefers the noise of pterodactyl
and to trucks. His “puny” form is happy to be among the peace, well as peaceful
as a middle school hallway can be. Food is easier to come by in the city of St
Louis. No longer must he transform into a raging behemoth to feast on
prehistoric meats. Now there’s hotdogs, hot and ready and doused in ketchup. He
misses his father though, well the “puny” side of him does. Bruce answered his A-card
days ago, and ever since Skaar returns to an empty home each night. Though he
now gets to stay up and watch Adult Swim.
Kingpin controls the St Louis underworld. Zebediah Killgrave
is an up and coming boss who keeps his eyes on Fisk’s throne and his desire on
a myth of the underworld. But who truly controls the under-world? Strange
earthquakes disrupt St Louis monthly, and no one seems to understand why. With
large scale events taking place around the globe, SHIELD is stretched thin, and
HYDRA grows bold. Cells are popping up and claiming terrorist acts. The
underworld whispers “Heads of Hydra always grow back.” Has Kraken returned or
worse the Red Skull? And who has stolen the thunder? Strange storms amass
across the globe, resulting in strange occurrences, and reports of fallen stars
whose metallic heads resemble hammers. All of this and reports of “little green
men” to boot. Things are strange on Earth-4007, strange indeed.
